People who delight in popping and cracking joints until you want to scream -- nothing makes me shudder more. That awful noise of a cracking neck, an elbow, the popping of a dancer's hip socket, the cracking of fingers just asking for early arthritis.

Iam a culprit of this sin. Yes I admnit it the first thing I do in the morning is twist my neck in unnatural directions and wait for that satisfying crunh! But I can see why it makes other people want to wretch.

Actually, for the record, there is no scientific fact behind the old wives tale that cracking joints gives you arthritis.
Of course, if it is true, arthritis can always be fixed by soaking your knuckles in dog urine...

- and if there is no scientific fact linking it to arthritis, then one should be found !
Finger cracking is the WORST - people actually CHOOSE to do it in your presence
