Tomatoes and Children

Tomatoes -
Well, it's the slime around the seeds which is the worst - the "powers that be" seem to have decreed that it is impossible to buy a sandwich without sliced tomato through it; no matter how carefully you order a meal to be tomato-free some fool will still think that it looks "pretty" to "garnish" (i.e. pollute) your meal with them. I've got nothing against tomatoes, per se, I just don't want them to come into contact with my food.

Children -
Well, they just give me the creeps. No rational explaination, just powerful homicidal urges whenever I am trapped within hearing range of a squealing child, e.g. in the supermarket. Why is it that people who have children assume some sort of God-given right (nay, duty) to inflict them on everyone else?

I agree with you completely on the tomatoes. But the children subject, I understand somewhat. Some children are nice, it's the obnoxious little brats and the ones that are so cute you want to vomit are the ones that get to me. Also the sound of any child crying will drive me mad, I can't stand it, not in a completely bad way. It just turns on some sort of parental instinct and I have to get it to stop crying. Also, sirens, they make me just want to run and hide and shove my towel in my ears.

Tomatoes are vile and perhaps it is the pschological effects of 32 years of tomatoes making me throw up but I can't even stand to touch them!
