Hello. I'd like to join the Collaborative Article Project, please.
Something about myself? My real name is Dr Eva Myers and I am a system administrator for the University of Cambridge. I love cats and roguelike games and have written Edited Guide articles on both these topics. Is that enough information?
Why I want to join: because it sounds like a useful way of dealing with the situation where you think "There ought to be an article on topic X" and can contribute some information but not enough to write the article yourself.
Writing experience: um, don't really have any unless you count web pages (and h2g2). There's a link to my home page on my Personal Space if you want to look around my website.
Ekaterin.

Thank you. That's plenty of information. I think on reflection it's probably not essential to give details of 'writing experience' and details 'about yourself', and I have thus altered the instructions accordingly.
An e-mail with the new password should have arrived at the address that you gave on your website. If you'd prefer to collect the e-mail from a different address, then you can send an e-mail from that account to the e-mail address mentioned in the instructions.
Thanks again.

Hi, I'd like to join, though am somewhat paranoid about posting my email adress in a conversation...Suppose I'll have to, though? If it makes any difference, I have several edited entries and contributed to the 'We Didn't start the Fire' project.

Hello; sorry to take so long to get back to you. You don't need to post your e-mail address. If you read all of the guidance entries that are linked to from the main page you'll see that posting your e-mail address is unnecessary. You just send an e-mail to the address that I set up specially: [email protected] and I shall send you the password to the account.
Please note that this project has been dormant due to lack of support for many months, and so there is not much 'collaboration' going on. Hopefully this will change, but it doesn't look too hopeful, as far as hope goes, hopefully speaking.

Well I am a Canadian who lives in Ireland, and we were opressed by Enlgand for about 800 years, but we never stopped resisting, either democratically or militarily, which gives us a lot of hope. In fact, have some spare hope in this bag. Here, have some.
