h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Woke up to fnd it had been a really windy night. Loads of leaves blown off the trees and my bird table blown over. It has been high winds all day. Went up for the local rag and it will not be in until tomorrow due to a 'technical fault' we have a routine on Thursday's which means reading the local rag and moaning that 'there is nothing in it' We shall have to do that tomorrow.
I decided to go up into the loft this afternoon. What a junk shop. I managed to tidy it up a bit and brought down nine empty boxes which had been put up there'in case we need them'.
Panic 'phone call from The Son could we pick up the children. of course we could and did. We brought them here and The Son's wife picked them up. She was late from work because the head wanted to see her and offered her a promotion which of course she has accepted
The girls will be here to sleep later and no doubt will take over this P.C. until they go to bed
