I didn't wake up until after 10 this morning. The Boss was up and making pasties for lunch by the time I fell out of bed. I did a bit in the garden. Staked the eucaliptus tree which has been swaying quite a lot in the recent winds. After lunch we went off to buy a birthday present for our godson's son. I love toy shops. We spent ages finding something he might like and while we were looking around I had a little go at anything on display I was allowed to. I found an animated Homer Simson. Great fun.
We had to drive through a cloud burst on the way home, the wipers could hardly clear the screen but it only lasted a few moments. Then the sun came out again.
I went for a walk this evening, I only have to walk a few yards and I am on the moors. A few yards the other way and I am walking towards the beach. This evening I went down the hill and onto the moor. There are masses of blackberries and sloes in the hedgerow. The warm wet weather has plumped them up and they are ripe. I ate a few as wandered along. The sun going down left huge streaks of red and gold across the sky and I felt at peace with the world. There is so much turmoil in this world of ours I know how fortunate we are to live as we do.
I am still struggling with my O.U.essay, still it keeps my ageing brain busy. The only problem is I have to keep leaving it to go on to hootoo to see what's happening in the games I like to play.
It's a good thing I don't have to send it in until November!!
