We have just put the kids to bed and The Boss and I are doing our own thing for a little hour before we go up.
The day had been pretty dam good, although I did wonder what was wrong with my brain when I found myself hanging upside down on something called The Thunderbolt. My two Eldest G.C's persuaded me it would be a Good Thing for me to go on it with them, I suppose I have senile dementia, I think the next eldest person on the thing was about thirteen The Boss looked on in despair as I joined the kids on the log flume and got very wet, the hornet, a roller coaster which made my legs wobble when I got off and then was persuaded to go back on the log flume and got wetter!
We took a picnic and ate in the shade by some beautiful flower beds. We arrived at 11 this morning and left just before they closed at 5:30. The Boss spent most of the time sitting watching me make a prat of myself but she said she enjoyed it so that's alright then innit?
I cooked the meal when we came home and sent the kids out to play for an hour before their daddy's nightly phone call. When I spoke to him he said they were looking forward to coming home on Monday, not as much as we are I bet. We are enjoying having the kids but it is so tiring.
I think tomorrow is going to be an at home day. Perhaps I will paint the kids if the weather stays as good as today!!

Who's having the most fun Kif - you or the children?
It sounds like you're having a brilliant, if tiring, time. Lucky, lucky grandchildren!
I was almost down your neck of the woods this week - got as far as Torrington. Took my Mum to visit Rosemoor Garden, which has been on her want-to-do list for a long time.
We both took lots of photos. Usually I write down the names of special plants in a note-book - then three days later can't remember what they look like and have to get out the plant encyclopaedia. This time, I used my digital camera to photo the plant labels too
Hope you're not too tired after your marathon baby-sitting event.
