The rubbish is still outside but after 'phone calls to the re cycling group, the council and our local councillor I have a promise it will be removed first thing tomorrow morning. We'll see.
I tidied my tool shed this morning I wonder why I have more nails and screws in boxes on the shelves than B and Q? Probably because every time I wanted a nail I found it easier to walk up the road to the ironmongers than fight my way through the junk in the shed.
The family arrived mid morning to make up the childrens' beds and put their clothes away. The kids wanted to stop over tonight but we said tomorrow would do.
It has been very cloudy and heavy today but I managed to do some gardening. I am having The Sons' four wheel drive while he is away because there is more room for the kids than in my car. I took it out for a trial run. I drove it a bit like jack rabbit, the clutch is so fierce.... I expect I will get used to it before I burn out the clutch!!
I went to the P.O. this morning and Harry the cross dresser was just in front of me in the queue. He was wearing a rather fetching blue gown and a shawl, which with his boots and heavy beard made for a striking outfit. No one in the village , not even the young lads, take the rise out of Harry, he is a harmless chap and although he is usually drunk, very well spoken. There is a sad story there somewhere.
