h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Adam the Gardener came this morning. He spends his winters as an engineer on yachts sailing the Pacific ocean and his summers here with his family doing odd jobs, mostly gardening. He worked like mad and cut back all the trees and shrubs which have gone beserk with growth this year. I worked with him doing the light stuff and what a life for a young man, Tahiti and New Zealand are two of his favourite places,as we worked he told me something of his travels and adventures. he is only 27 and already has been round the world several times.
While we talked we filled eleven bin liners with weeds from the bottom garden and now it looks fairly presentable and I have room for the roses which I ordered from David Austin some weeks ago. I still haven't told The Boss that I have spent a shed load of money on the garden yet again. Before the roses come I will agree to a new carpet for the sitting room,that will please her so much she will not worry about the spend on the roses.
Adam is coming at half past seven tomorrow morning to get the stuff up to the recycling bin, so I will have to fall out of bed early.
Another good day for The Boss.
