h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I spent most of the day painting, I did the gate and the shed door as The Boss wanted but once I got the brush in my hand I decided to do a proper job and painted the outside wall as well. Then I helped The Boss move stuff about the bedrooms preparing for our four little guests next week. Now it is getting nearer we are beginning to wonder if it was a wise thing to say we would have the four of them to stay.
Still they are not bad kids and we have planned an exhausting programme for them, although I have a feeling it is we who will be exhausted by the time they leave.
Another long e mail from the Friend in Oz I must get around to replying soon. The trouble is he seems to lead a very busy life and I guess he will think my doings a bit dull.
The Spanish cousin phoned and she has settled down in her new house in Hull. She is really glad to be back from Spain for good. Too much sunshine she reckons.
The Boss had quite a good day, very little pain without pain killers. Good stuff.
The weather has been cloudy but warm and good for working outside, tuesday Adam The Gardener is coming to help clear the rubbish which seems to have accumulated suddenly.
