The storm is over and the sun is out. The wind has dropped the sky is blue and hopefuly it will be the same tomorrow so that I can get out into the garden and pick up the remains of my rose arch which is in pieces all over the lawn. I haven't been out to see what damage has been done to the plants but the trees are all still standing which is a bit of a surprise considering the strength of the wind last night.
The Son's Wife and the E.G.D. have just popped in which is nice.
We have been indoors all day. I spent the afternoon getting ready for my tutorial tomorrow. it is stupid but I am a bit nervous. considering I am over 70 and have done many things in my life which meant standing up in front of an audience and shooting my mouth off, it is a worry that I am nervous of speaking to the tutor on the 'phone. I spoke to the M.A.(lit) this afternoon who has been working in the O.U. for years and she did make me feel it was all worth while. We'll see!

Sorry about the rose arch
If you want to tell a few people about the storm I've started a thread in my journal, right here F50359?thread=445697 alt="smiley - space" title="space" class="smiley" src="http://www.h2g2.com/h2g2/skins/Alabaster/images/Smilies/f_space.gif"/>
