h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

went to see A.the V first thing. Checked the flowers and came home and did a little bit of work before going to see The Others.
Then I went and had my hair cut by the best looking barber in town. She tells me she may have to give up in September as her lease runs out then. If she can't find somewhere else in Pz I shall just have to let what little hair I have grow. Perhaps I'll get me one of those stupid grey hair pony tails so many sad aging hippies are wearing these days.
The Shellfish Man 'phoned to say that he and The American girl had finished their relationship, which made me sad as they seemed well suited . However a couple of weeks ago, he tells me, she thought she was pregnant. He was delighted ,she was horrified. It brought stuff to the surface of their relation ship which they had never discussed. He wants children, she doesn't. Fortunately it was a mistake and she is not pregnant. How terrible it would have been if they had married without discussing what they wanted from the marriage. I think they both learned lessons from the situation. But two good friends of mine are unhappy and that makes me sad.
