I decided this morning to put my worries about the results on one side and get on with enjoying my day. We spent the mprning reading the papers and drinking tea. we read outbits to each other and generally decided the world can be a pretty mesy place and we are lucky that our bit seems to be.
I bought pasties for lunch and the girl in the shopgave me a letter from their quality controller in reply to a complaint I made last week when I found a piece of plastic in one of their pasties. We usually have them Saturday lunch time and I was a tad upset to find plastic in mine. Anyway the shop gave me my money back last week and another pasty and a huge saffron cake so I thought that would be the end of the matter, however with the letter of apology came a small cheque, it pays to complain.
We went out for a drive called in on Praah sands, it was quite busy so we won't go there any more now until the seaon is over. Then we stopped at Band Q because they had plants on special offer and then The Boss went and bought some clobber(again) and I went and had a yarn with my godfather who is brilliant and keeps a really wonderful gift shop on the terrace.
I have just realised that I am writing this as much for others to read as well as an aid memoir for myself. it is hardly rivetting ,but it is the life style of an ordinary retired man.
And I had to water the bloomin'garden again tonight
