What a brilliant day. The sun came out early this morning and drove the mists away. I looked out of the window and for the first time this week I could see the Longships light house. The sea was as blue as could be and almost flat calm. I did some more work in the garden and got the garden chairs, table, and sun shade out of winter storage and set them up. The Boss and I had to pick up the two boys from school and take them both to the chiropodist. The drive to town was wonderful, from the top of the hill we can see almost the whole of West Penwith, the bay and St. Michaels Mount. Glorious! After the boys were finished in the clinic we went to Newlyn for ice cream with clotted cream and a flake on top. Luvverly!.
When we got back to the house we went into the garden and played snap sitting at the table under the sunshade and drinking lemonade. The Boss and I cheated like mad to make sure each of the boys won a game which caused a great deal of The Mum came to pick them and stayed for a cup of tea and a chat. The Son went to a friend's funeral this morning and apparently the wake has gone on all day. I expect there will be harsh words from The Mum when he gets home.
The boss is worried about meeting my cousin from France on Sunday she knows that most of my family are a bit mad and quite expects The French Cousin to be the same. Still there will be eleven of us at lunch so I don't think my cousin will stand out much against the rest of my family
