The Son has telephoned to apologise for leaving the boys with us and going to the pub. He didn't ask us to pick them up today and I wonder if he is feeling guilty. I can see him going down the same road I did and losing the business, he is taking too much time off from the office and any excuse will do.
I went to the Michael Upton gallery this afternoon and bought a watercolour which I really like but which also may be a good investment. I don't think The Boss will like it 'tho.
The Boss has had some pain today and I suggested that she 'phone the specialist who did her operations but she said that she would put up with the pain. I have just asked her how she is now and she says it is a bit easier. She has been a bit low these last two days and it has been worrying me, I hope we can get out and about over the week end, perhaps it will cheer her up.
I spoke to Bruv last night. he went to his regiment's reunion and met some of his old cronies. While he was there a fencing competition was on and by chance the guys were competing for the very cup that he presented to the army when he left in '76. he is still the only champion to win the world title in his class six times. he is very modest about his sporting achievements but I am very proud of him.
He is coming down in a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to that
