..I know that it is very late in the day but I have just posted a goodbye GW poem called -'no teenage angst required'...I understand that you must be unbeleivably busy but if you manage to include it I would be veryvery grateful....so sad the site is going and this is the first chance I've had to scribble something....hope you had a good time in Brum...I was very busy 'fraid.....too much work....hope you take a peek (It's a bit of a weird one I think)....buhbye PenJen...

..Not much really...just some late night coffee random thoughts...gonna miss it all so much...


Not for me some tuneless dirge
or wilted petal sorrow
or nude fulsome mutterings
for the passing of this
loved companion.

As the bulldozers grunt
and grind at alphabet
bricks-polished scrapmetal
treasured words plummet in
the thudding quarry
of granite memories.

No logic for debate or
challenge or yell spendthrift fool
at flashsuited directors
who shortsighted dash spangled
coins at sit-no-com's soap-no-opera's
and sham un-reality tele-no-vision.

Coffeebreaks in workshops and
breaktime at callcentres bathing again
in blue holiday brochures and idle
chitchatnitternatter remembering
clickclick read-write-reveiw and
daydreams of cycling with Keats.

A blackhole in cyberspace where
once boredstiff I painted faces on
fingernails that became astronauts
spacewalking poems on this mottled
keyboard of universal gibberish.

Beating the eggs of noun and verb
and metaphor whisking some
armoured shell emotion into
the plastic bowl of poetry prose
or a botched attempt at either.

Nothing left but pockets filled
with a new friend or five
a rude review which I adore
some cutandpaste nostalgia
of brilliance curiously unrecognised
for the timebeing at least.

A minute to ponder a tiny
significant something a moment
or so left to grin and dwell
scribble some drivel a toast a
speech a farewell anything that
touches those that get writing got.

One last goodbye to souls
who fed me the soupy warmth
of language in cold desolation
a simple shabby thankyou
to those of you that stitched
a heart onto the sleeve of this coat
that sadly no longer fits.

...sixty....yer bleedin cheeky get....glad you enjoyed...these late night ones can be hit and miss...appear all profound in the dark of the night then become crumpled crap in the cruel morning....had a look at the anthologys and signed onto the group...thankyou so much for your generous work in compiling these peices....love and syrup....

Well, if it makes you feel better i'm just a little bit older than you although I only look about 19yrs. <diva. Aye right...

And to be honest, serious even, it is just my way of giving a little back. Been here nearly a year, (bar a month), and have met some amazing folk. Thought it would be good to have something that we all had a little share in. Awh...
