It's been said a 1000 times, and I am sure it will be said another 1000 times - congratulations.....is that the right word??? I'm not sure.....any way, it's always nice to be appreciated. Those 5 AM shadows don't seem such a dead loss afterall...

Awh... My wee pet Ali,
Good to find you back here again and thank-you kind soul for your lovely words and the nod to my little mad insomanic forays. Yes, sometimes those wee moonbeams do follow through!
Will catch up with ye soon & cheers, dear seer.

Only one posting this time...
My infrequent use of the board is down to cynicism...I am writing, still, but not putting so much on this site. It seems to be more politically based now than before when it was writing for writing's sake. I know as poets the written word IS always political, but then I can't be arsed.
Anyway I will be putting stuff on perodically until the site closes down or we have a reprieve.
As a keeper of my word - here is my latest....see my space.

Yes, I've noticed a big change in atmosphere and attitude since the 'news' broke and also because of the time of year; folk trying to settle back into some sort of routine.
There are a few alternative sites that folk have signed up too. I have the links if you're interested. Plus there's also plans for a possible 'unofficial GW meet' in Birmingham around about end of Feb/March too that a couple of us are trying to organise. Wouls ye be up for it? Can get that link too if you wish. Would be a pity if we all lose contact. This place and fellow GWer's have given me the encouragement to write again. Would really hate to lose all those connections.
Anyway, do keep in touch, Ali.

Yeah, that would be great if something could be organised, putting names to faces and all that....it could be B'ham's answer to the Mersey Poets; McGough and all his mates....
Could you give me the links, another place, a different setting, maybe a different perspective on things - who knows?
I'd give you my e-mail, but you never know who will get in touch, do you????
