In a couple of months our normal low's will become our normal high's,
and our normal high's will dissappear into oblivion. I better get fire wood. I wrote a half way decent poem about that once(the seasons of my life not the firewood), can't remember it rite now, maybe I'll dig it up when I get home.

Today is my mom's 50th b-day. She's sad.
"they" told her yesterday that her cholesteral is 295 which is way above the action level. So now, of course, she's confident that she's dying....she's not....rite....of coures not that's not possible

Last year I cut and hauled 5 pu truck loads of wood, and that was supplemental to my gas furnace. Of course I underestimated my wood usage and hauled the last two loads in the dead of winter

and when you wake up at 4am because the fire's gone out and your frreezzin to death, yet for the sake of others, you have to go into the even colder basement and get wood, then spend 15 minuets trying to get it to relight, then fall back asleep just before your alarm goes off to get up for work........all winter long.

You romantics are gonna be the death of people like me. lol

It's ok Ill buy my own timber, cut down my own trees etc.

Plus living where I do, I don't actually need it that often. Just im likely to have three+ power cuts this year, like last, so It's nice to have something.

I did have more reasons but meh I can't remember them.

Why do you have so many power losses, I assumed down lines.<?>
How long dose it usualy stay out. Once I lost power over night in the dead of winter. I shoulda went to stay at my mom's but I decided I would tough it out because the power should be back on "any minuet", that was a big mistake.

I learned to use the chain saw last year.

I don't actually know why. The power just goes out for 10 minutes or so normally in the middle but we have fires going almost constantly through winter (when people are at home). Christmas eve 199x was the worst. Lines down all xmas eve and still out in the morning so we opened one present each, got in the car and drove 50, 60, 70 odd miles to my grandparents house. It was a fun day. Thinking about it it might actually have been 2001. Not sure though.
