Hello Tracy
Sorry if my comment causes offence. But I really do believe, after reading some (not all) of Richard & Judy thread, that you/WhichPoppy should be reviewing work posted rather then intellectually showing off. In my opinion, your thread belongs on another site. But that is just my opinion.
Regards
David
PS I realise in the past I've mentioned how much I enjoy reading through your threads, Tracy. By that I mean threads which relate to writing.
For What its Worth
TeeDee Posted Feb 27, 2005
For what it is worth I can vouch for the fact that Tracy is a girl (and a leftie, but not a very leftie leftie) whilst Whichpoppy is an entirley different person (oh, and a bloke to boot with weird ideas)
As for the thread - well, the site is all but dead so who cares what goes on? There are other threads ignored much as the Richard and Judy one!

I do review lots of work David. But I'm entitled to discuss on threads whatever conversation is going. Lol - I'm not intellectually showing off - I'm discussing something that I have an interest in.
I've got time on my hands because I've had treatment in hospital and have to rest for a few days. And its my birthday today so happy birthday to me! Lol.

Tee-dee - I've always been very left-wing. I used to be a Marxist - these days I'm just cynical.
Besides I do think the legal system is corrupt - I don't think wp is wrong there. I've experienced it myself although I have never commited a crime or been accused of doing so.

You don't come across as very left wing. Left of centre, but then so is most of the country these days (see polls)
All legal systems have an element of corruption. For example, I have a major interest in how childen are treated in court. The police have to follow strict questioning rules to avoid confusing or leading a child. Then, when the child gets to court, the defence does not have to follow the same rules and children are often verbally beaten up. That is corrupt.
But for all its faults, the justice system works well in zillions of cases. My problem with WP (or others like him) is that we are expected to believe their tale of woe and conspiracy without them telling us anything other than they were treated unfairly. Dare to question and you are immediately part of the corrupt establishment.
Happy birthday, by the way

Its probably my cynicism TeeDee. Years ago I used to be a member of 'Militant'. Lol. But I have been disillusioned politically. Although I do remain anti-capitalist.
I do believe wp though - I don't think he would be so passionate otherwise. Also there are many individuals who are maltreated in custody. However lets not discuss it all over again.
Thanks for the birthday wishes - I've stopped celebrating them as much now - they seem to be coming around too quickly. Lol.
