Have just read (again)your fabulous script "THE LUMP S5" - and, yeah, like I said a couple of weeks ago: It really is very good, very witty. It's a script that deserves to go places methinks.

By the way, why the writing crisis?

I posted the scene on here and gave it to some friends and family and most said it was too offensive and too angry.

Against my better judgement I changed the whole episode, the central character etc.to suit the feedback.

Went for an interview for the NFTS recently, they liked my old script (partly because it had an original female lead character) and wanted to see it made but thought the new idea I had (traditional male character in mid 30s) was formulaic.

Which kind of pissed me off as I'd spent two months on the re-write. What pissed me off even more was that they were right.

I'm just waiting til wednesday for their reply, I just felt really bad that I lost my direction and that I have missed a chance of a lifetime.

You honestly have to stay true to what you believe in and dont always listen to what others say.
