h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I hate daylight savings time. Well, spring daylight savings time. And now I've shown my ignorance of the whole ordeal, as I don't know when it's DST or EST (Eastern Standard Time, East Coast, USA, for those of you out of the know). I don't know if anyone else in the world recognizes DST, either, as I was taught that Ben Franklin invented it (cuz you can invent time, apparently), and most countries really don't give a shit what we do most of the time.

The reason I hate spring DST is because it advances an hour. Bars close earlier, you lose sleep, you can't sleep right for a week or so, etc. It screws up everything. And all to allow for more sunlight, which changes daily. By July, you start wondering why you lost all that sleep to save daylight, when you got too much of it now. I mixed tenses there, but it's very late(early), so instead of corrective action, I shall retire. To bed, not permenently. I hope.
