h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi. I'm Vip, and I'm here as a (volunteer) representative of the community to say hello and be a port of call for you if you need any help or just a cup or and a chat.

h2g2 is a huge site, and is growing bigger every day. There are places I have never been, and far too many people that I have never met. The best way by far to get the feel of the site and to find some people that you like is simply to explore. Peoples names are links to their Spaces, and at the bottom of their Spaces are link to other peoples. Read conversations (nothing is private here, and can be read by anybody, registered or not. Some conversations are more personal though, do be polite and judge carefully whether you would be welcome. ). http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/Askh2g2 is a good place to start, full of (usually innane) conversations and people.

The Search bar is a great way to find topics that you are interested in. And if there is nothing on your subject of interest, then write one yourself! New entries by writers young and old are always welcome. If it's good enough, you may be picked to enter the Guide itself.
