A Conversation for David Bowie - The Alien and the Music

Bowie has done some interesting covers of other artists' work sometimes brilliantly, sometimes not, sometimes just plain weird.
Examples (judgements are purely my own opinion):
'Across the Universe' by the Beatles on 'Young Americans', with lennon on Guitar - Brilliant.
'God only Knows' by the beach Boys on 'Tonight' - just plane wrong.
'It's hard to be a Saint in the City' by Springsteen - weird, but kinda cool.
Does anyone know anything about his version of Dylan's 'Trying to Get to heaven Before they Close the Door'?
Is it any good?
Is it available to buy?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
