Just saying hi! I see you used to live in Douglas. That's where I currently lurk. Do you still have family over here - or have you escaped for good?

Hi
I haven't got any family over there. I went out there to dodge my tax, as I used to work on the QE2 Cruise ship. I only needed to be out of the uk for three months but I ended up staying for two years. I met someone we split up blah de blah. I'm now back home in Scouseland. Do you originate form the Isle of Man?

Lol! No, me and hub aren't Manx either. We came over for 2 years - nearly fifteen years ago! Our children were born here and we don't have any particular plans to leave. (Tax dodging can get addictive).
What was the QE2 like? Did you have a really glamorous job?

Ha so you're stuck then!!
No only joking. People used to call it velcro island (you try to leave but keep coming back) I met loads of good friends and had a really good time out there.
The QE2 was great, I was a public room stewardess. Not totally glamourous, it was long hours. The money and travel definately made up for it though. I did the world cruise and got a lot of time off in every port.
There were lots of famous passengers. I met lots of interesting people.
I'm going to Australia and New zealand in March for a year.
I see you won the star poster welldone.

The other definition I hear bandied around is that of 75,000 drunks clinging to a rock!
Thanks re the star poster thing - I don't know how that happened because I've been tied up with NaNoWriMo this month. Technically, I shouldn't be here at all!
Good luck with your travels.
