Happy Mother's Day
You on? You in???? Did you get up early for the race?
I'm a bit at the moment as I stayed up til 12.40am for a track (CD track, not racetrack!) that I wanted to hear on Bob Harris...

Hi Rich Dee !!
How lovely to hear from you. I have been up since 5.00 this morning as I just couldn't sleep. Had a meal last night and too much to drink so I felt a but yukky.
But, I'm all right now. I have just put the joint in the oven and will be doing my veg. (Dead riveting stuff !)
I am going to the cinema tonight to see 'Mona Lisa Smile' so I hope it's good. It's cert 12A so I should get in all right !
Wild and windy here, but just looking out of the window and the sun's shining. Hope your mother is enjoying her day.
There are a few F1 racing buffs out of the old Radio 2 crowd aren't there.
Take care,
enjoy your day, have an early night tonight or a cap nap this afternoon
Jen
PS My hyacinths are in full bloom !!

So are mine!!!
Hope you're feeling better & up to kitchen duty! How many are you cooking for?
Look forward to the film review - I was born just a few months before Julia Roberts : We are both Chinese year of the...

Only cooking for my daughter and myself. Everyone else is away ! But I don't mind.
Two's company ! Are you cooking ?
I must say I am very disappointed with my forsythia. I have been looking at other people's gardens, and theirs are in full bloom.
Yours,
Mrs Alan Titchmarsh

Have to check the forsythia & get back to you

Yes, he was a great personality wasn't he. Just checked on the meat, taken a phone call and cleaning the bathroom. As you do !

Hi Charlie Dimmock
Our Forsythia is well out but not as much of it as usual. Perhaps I go a bit carried away and pruned it a bit hard last year! You're a lot further south than us so yours should be in full bloom.
Rachel De Thame.
PS couldn't decide whether to be Rachel or Daphne Ledward, thought the former more attractive!

Hi Rachel.
I am now left with the choice of Indigo Jones or Vita Sackville-West. Perhaps I'll go for Vita with the double barrelled name. Was she a bit strange I wonder ?
Had a ghastly joint of beef for lunch. Supposed to be top side but all fatty. Yuk.
Just got back from the cinema. I did enjoy the film but maybe it was a bit predictable and not to everyone's taste. If you like Julia Roberts, which I do, it was fine.
My daughter enjoyed it too. We shared a giant popcorn and diet coke !

Morning JYY
Glad to see you enjoyed the film last night
I like Julia Stiles but sadly she is approx half my age
Forsythia update - yes we have flowers, but only on the bottom third of the plant, thanks to the 'Suffolk Hedge-trimmer Massacre' of 2003, after next door neighbour went a bit too enthusiastic with the electric shears last summer!
Yours
Pippa Greenwood (I think we're running out of names now!)

All right last one, today I shall be Capability Brown. Fancy being called that !
I had to laugh at your description of your chain sawing massacre neighbour. Phillop Phlopp has listed chain saw collection as one of his hobbies ! (Or something very similar)
It's a lovely day today. Sunshine and blue skies and just a little rain here and there.
My daughter is coming for tea and then she is off babysitting, so I think I shall go line dancing whilst she is out.
