Hello all hope you are all OK.
Was mooching around the boards yesterday and popped over to the Top of the Pops board where i found a very sad thread. One of the young girl posters had committed suicide the night before at the very young age of 12 years old.
I couldn't understand how someone so young would feel so lost and alone that she felt killing herself was the only solution. Where were the adults to help her? Apparently one of her parents was dead and the other not much good at all but what about her teachers and the like? From reading the posts she had tried it before so why wasn't she being watched? Surely someone out there could have helped her. In the end it all came down to one of her friends who she had told her intentions to. This poor girl posted last week for advice on how to help her friend but has been left devastated by it.
Sorry for this rather depressing post, it just struck a chord with me and i have been thinking about her since yesterday.
Go give your loved ones a and tell them how much you love them.
Take care everyone.

Hi Anna
I read it too and was deeply saddened that such a young person could feel so useless. Don't worry, after everything that has gone on in my life recently I make a point of hugging my family each day and telling them how much I love them, and do you know even the lad doesn't mind!
Take care and have a great weekend whatever you're doing.

Hello again Penny,
Didn't go for a picnic as weather was lowsy so decided to go for a walk in Bakewell and had fish and chips instead.
Sorry to have to tell you that the girl i originally posted about was having some kind of sick joke. She fooled her friend into thinking she was dead and upset a lot of people in the process. She really must be ONE mixed up little girl to do something like that.
Anyway sorry to keep posting to you (i'm not stalking honest) just thought you should know.
Bye for now.

Hi Anna
Jesus, there's some sick bunnies around these messageboards . Have you seen Skid on the JV board. He claimed the other day that he had just lost his two children in a car accident and then he tried to have us believe that he was an incontinent 89 yr old who was riddled with arthritis! It really is beyond the pale.
I'm sorry you didn't have good enough weather for a picnic today, the forecast looks better for tomorrow. Anyway, it was a good excuse to have fish and chips!
I don't think you're stalking me at all I like hearing from you
Off for some
Speak soon
Penny

Hi Pond
Surprise, Surprise, I've made it (Hallalujah - any version who cares).
I went into the TOTP MB after Shaky Fan mentioned it in the CB.
Then a thought occurred to me. What if SC from R2, SM from JV and this girl on TOTP is all the same person? We don't know do we?
As we have seen from JV's/R2 Board, SM can take on different genders, ages, cultures etc. However, there is one thing that links them all together - 'sick sense of humour' (if you can call it humour).
That is why I posted that (overly long I know) message yesterday. One thing that really get's me annoyed is people taking the P**s out of others (especially when you don't know who they are). The thought of someone sitting down at their computer typing in a message about losing 2 children, laughing while they are posting it, then laughing again when ordinary decent people are giving sympathy really makes the blood boil. Same thing on the R2 board when SC said he had lost a relative from Cancer, same with the TOTP post.
Don't mind a bit of winding up but taking the peverbial is something different altogether.
Will let you know how I get on with the Mexican Wave thingy.
Serendipity Always
