Right, i am totally and utterly peed off with the R2 board now. Nick B started a great thread that turned into WW3. Poor old PG then asked them to calm down and was abused terribly. I then complained to the MODS, got the usual crappy reply so i started a new thread, where Howard (who seems to have turned into Dr Jekyll) started on me. I was having such a lovely weekend too.
I need a and a or three

Oh poor Anna
Here's a glass of < I find it all pointless so I rarely even go and look I'm surprised PG's got the energy for it, I do admire her. They could put all their knowledge and experiences into a much more meaniful format here don't you think?
Ah well that's men. Must only popped into add a line to my page. Just chilling out listening to Richard.
See you soon.

All I was trying to do was to have a laugh at that new DeAgostini magazine that's been advertised on the TV about the radio controlled car with a petrol engine for only £7.99 an issue which works out to £415 - Heck, you could get a proper car for that
Why Scott and Howard don't just leave each other alone is anybodies guess. It's like a keg of gunpowder coming into contact with the lit fuse.
The place is just a farce, I'll keep posting on there for now, and keep as far away from these wars as possible.
I'm trying to start my own messageboard, which hopefully will be as easy to use as the R2 board, and as friendly as h2g2. Just let me know if your all interested, or do you want to keep plugging away on here.
Nick

Hi Anna
Don't cry. They are such a bunch of bad-tempered losers over there I was really enjoying Nick's thread whilst listening to RA, but it became impossible to find the interesting messages amongst the dross, especially as I wasn't glued to my cuter (housework unfortunately having to take precedence) and I don't use the e-mail reply bit.
Ho hum, here join me in a spot of
The lad was practising Purple Haze when I went to pick him up from school this pm. He needs a bit more practise
Got to clean the patio windows before it gets dark

PL playing Purple Haze, . The R2 board is fast becoming a joke and Howard seems to have lost the plot completely today. Hope your windows come up sparkling, i'm wsting my day drinking and browsing, though must go take dogs out before it gets too dark. Hopefully will catch you all later (if i'm not too squiffy).

Try this http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/h2/h2.cgi?board=radio2 it should get you to the main Radio 2 message boards. But I wouldn't really bother!

Hi everyone
I had a look in at the R2 board and oh my god I could hardly believe it! As you say Nick's thread was good but then all hell breaks loose! I actually wonder if they should introduce a short ban system to give everyone else time to cool down?
Feel a bit hung over after a late night and probably a bit too much to drink with some old friends. On my second cup of coffee and perusing the paper, whose face should be staring up at me? - Jeremy saying, amongst other things, that you should never forget old friendships and keep them going! We'd only said last night that even though we don't get together that often we seem to just pick up as if it were no time since we'd seen one another!
Well off to get something to eat
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
Helen.

I'm beginning to think that Howard must be on the edge of a nervous breakdown and no, I'm not laughing. He seems to be getting more and more incomprehensible and upset at me and I really don't know what I've done.
If any of you think I'm being out of order please say, as I'm not sure I can trust my judgement any more.
Anyway, I'm keeping out of it as I am obviously causing trouble, however inadvertantly.

Pond!,
I have had a disaster again We had a new combi-boiler installed and cos of the extra pressure it generates compared to the old clapped out one it's made all me radiator joints start leaking the house is covered in cloths and kitchen towels
Mrs tog/w is not happy!Just told her to turn the heating off till Monday so I can find someone to get round here and sort itOh and I kicked the garage door in frustration this morning cos it wouldn't open properly(one of them up and over things) and it departed from its runners and I couldn't get it back together, shouted mrs Tog who was still in bed on her rest day! 20 minutes later she is covered in oil and grease and helping me block said garage door with wheelie bin and other stuff( I'll sort it Monday)
Wrong time to give in

No Penny you are not out of order. I agree with you about Howard, he seems to have lost it totally. There is no reasoning with him at all and whatever you or i say to him he twists it to his own means. Maybe Scott has finally driven him over the edge but to be honest Scott didn't really do anything and Howard just pounced. Oh i am so glad that we have this place.

Hi tog
These things always seem to happen at once don't they. We were trying to remove artex of one of our walls last week an the plaster started coming off in lumps! I'm still polishing up all the dust.
I'm trying not to panic over the fact that we have about 30 people coming for linch tomorrow
Have a fun evening!

I've given up for 24 hours Artex is a nightmare! When the builders/plumbers where in and hammering away at the joists in the bathroom the force of them hammering at the joists transferred through to the artex on the walls in the landing and split it all, I thought we had suffered an earthquake without knowing about it looking at all the fault lines in the walls! I have spent days attempting to fill in the cracks and painting over it all, which meant re-decorating the whole upstairs and hallway and I only did it last year
Mrs tog wants it all taken off now. It can wait till next year it's ben there 15 years one more won't harm
Have you calmed down now?
Hope so Have a good weekend

Hiya PG
I am not commenting on Howard or Scott over there, looks like Scott's in pre moderation now, as he's complaining about his messages taking ages to appear.
I don't know about Howard tonight, there's just no way to tell whether somebody is drunk, ill or upset when they post. Trust your feelings, 'cos there is something up with Howard.
Scott is his usual lost cause, just getting wound up oh so easily.
Now time for the and
