Just come on line to check my messages. Wrote to Rich Dee. Hope you had a lovely week end.
Friday I danced, but left after 2 hours because I was exhausted and brain dead.
Saturday Buffs watched the rugby and I did crosswords and read. I am reading, among other things, 'The Green Mile'
Don't know if it's any good, but as I didn't see the film with Tom Hanks I'm reading the book. (I'm not very intellectual with my reading I'm afraid !)

Sunday - today - we walked along the sea front and had ice creams. This evening some of the family arrived. They are having problems and I think we're like the safe or half way house!!

Hospital phoned me on Friday and my appointment is next week.
I will play badminton in the morning and dance on Monday night. Tuesday we may go out walking. I bought Buffs a book on local walks for Christmas and the weather forcast is good so may try exploring. Plus, they all have a pub as a start and end of the walk so should be fun.
I have arranged to go out with girls from work next Thursday lunch, so am looking forward to that.
Dentist on Wednesday. Booked in for an hour so not so good.

Saw N'castle lost and Liverpool had a draw. Hope your central heating is working all right. Hope you had a good weekend !

Just had a look in the CB before checking in here. I'm like a zombie this morning - must be all the red wine I drank last night! It was the other half's birthday so we had a nice meal.

The heating is fixed after a hicup just after the gas board had left - air in the system! I was just thankful to have the house to myself on Saturday. We will need a joiner to try to box in the 2 holes above and below the new boiler but I've my doubts that it will be sucessful. Hey ho!

Other half back to work tomorrow so can get back to 'normal' again! It was lovely to have the extra hour of daylight and it was much milder, so had the kitchen door open most of the afternoon. Are you far from the sea? We were only about 8 miles away when we were in the NE.

Bad news on the football front I'm not sure NCL will make Europe this time.

I need to get my hair cut this week but can't decide whether on not to change hairdressers!! I may just give this one a last try, faomous last words and I'm a coward!

Good to see the R2 boards buzzing again. Just did not have time to post at all.

Played badminton, then lunch and out for a 2 hour hike. I was exhausted by the time we got home.

We are only about 15 mins from the sea, but not for swimming in ! I prefer to go down to Devon or Dorset where the sea and beaches are lovely. We can be somewhere really lovely in about 1 1/2 hours.
Tomorrow is a good forcast so hopefully we will get out.

Danced tonight and enjoyed myself.
Glad your gas is sorted out as near as dammit !

Hope you had a good day out, the weather was brilliant up here as it seems to have been all over.

I'm more or less put straight after the heating thingy, just feel shattered hence the arguing on the R2 board! I'm afraid I took offence to being cast in the same mould as SC for saying R2 should not have to cater for teenagers and for criticising Kate Thornton who I had never even mentioned. What is it with these 50 something (he said he's 53) men!... Late mid life crisis?

Hairdresser in the morning so fingers crossed!


I'm being deluged with spam emails at the moment - I haven't opened any with or without attachments so don't know what to do next. It just such a nuisance having to delete them all.

He makes me laugh. I sometimes think that with all the aliases on the board, there are probably only the 6 of us writing to each other !

Dentist at lunchtime

Out for a meal last night with friends, so didn't have chance to write much of anything yesterday.
It's beautiful here again today. I love Spring. Summer's better mind.

Is the angry person on R2 aka Eric the Red and Ken Wottsits ?

I'd never thought of him being both alias' (T.Keeler that is) but it's a thought, he is so funny!

How was the dentist? Not long since I had the same so you have my sympathies. Don't know if you heard the bit on JV about dentists, last year, about private patients getting crowns that were of NHS quality? All the time I was in the chair I was remembering it but thinking "how would you know anyway which was which if you'd not had them before"! I know I paid for the private one but not sure which I got!

The guy on R2 was the latest JV basher. Unfortunately I agreed with him and his comments to a certain extent today and said so. Perhaps I'll stay quiet in future! I think KP said he was older than this guy in one of his posts so I don't think they are the same person.

Had a shorter Lulu style this time. The test will be when I come to wash it!

I'm off to the bank later but not sure if the hole in the wall is working after the fire put the phone lines in Manchester out on Monday. We are fine in Wilmslow but Prestbury and Alderley Edge have no phones or internet service still! It hadn't occurred to me that the credit cards would be effected but the hairdresser couldn't take payment by card. Just as well I had my cheque book which I don't always have with me these days.

It's lovely and sunny but still a bit cold out of the sun. I like Spring and Autumn best as we have clearer days then. We get more cloud in summer from the hills unless it's a heatwave.

Sad that Dalek is going to 5 Live. Hope we get someone as nice. I think Dapper Dan is also female.

PP is definitely T Keeler and Marge Rita is Pond Girl !! (Miss Marple strikes again - that's me) PP has posted an address on his 'space' PG has found it. I can't though !!
I know what you mean about being at the mercy of the haidresser. Last time I went I paid a lot of money and had foils done with 3 different colours.
And nobody noticed !! Well apart from my husband. I don't know whether just to have streaks put in via the cap. Only that hurts when they pull the hair through.
My next apptmt is 23rd April I think.
Next week we are looking after dogs; the last week of the month we are looking after next door's cats. What with the hospital appt, and the dentists I feel as though I am desperate to fit in some kind of holiday.

I think you'll have to put a 'Cat and Dog's Holiday Service' outside your door soon! We used to feed numerous cats in the road but they've either moved or the cats have died (old age, not my lack of feeding thank goodness!) so not so much in demand now. We almost took on next doors cat when they emigrated but it snapped at me and the other half when we were looking after it but felt quite bad when we said 'no thanks'. It had been fine loads of times and used to jump on my lap but after that I was wary.

Morning Helen,

I always think you have to be wary of dogs and treat them with respect. Don't blame you for not taking on a dog that snaps at you ! That can be very frightening. Yes, I have got a lot of responsibilities this month.

I think I have now cleared the page which was telling everyone about me !!!! Please tell me I have deleted it.

Sorry I didn't get back to you this morning. Which page did you try to delete? Not sure I've seen it. You don't mean the 'who you are page' on here do you, cos that one says you haven't written anything about yourself.

Was the address of pp the aol one? It was incorrect when I tried it. There was another link that took you to another R2 site with a gorilla picture next to his name but that's gone now it would seem. I think he's also P Dantic if the post no's are anything to go by. I wish mine weren't so high I'm almost ashamed of the number!

Thank goodness it's the weekend as I'm all done in! I'm not going to the football tomorrow so get to chill out.

Can't believe how light it is tonight with the hour change. It was lovely once the sun got out here.
