Hi Jen
I saw your message but didn't have time to reply just then. Next time I looked couldn't find it so thought I was going mad. Not quite with it yet!
My other half is off for a couple of weeks so we are just going to have a few days out and hopefully a bit of tidying up (a skip on the drive might be appropriate!).
Look's like Jeremy's baby is on it's way as RA mentioned earlier. Poor lad he'll be a nervous wreck!
It's bright and sunny but rain forecast and high winds.
Speak soon!

Morning Helen,
Yes sounds as though his little girl is on her way. No doubt it will be announced on the news.
Have a good couple of weeks off. Weather here is grey and rain is due, so getting the washing out of the way. Should be out soon, but feeling a bit lethargic so I'm late.
I have gone back to the boards and been chatting to Eric the Red aka Ken.

Hi Jen
Yes, I read that they were expecting a little girl and ages ago he made a comment that made me wonder if it was a going to be a girl.
I miss the boards too, had a quick read this morning and saw your posts. I can't stand all the fighting over there though. I think I'll pop into the coffee bar later as it seems a bit sad.
See you later

Yes they do seem to like a fight. See The C had a Pond Boy Bash all of his own. You have to laugh.
But, it's their way of having a good time. Sad really. Not going out this am to badminton as the house is like a tip.
Read somewhere your comments about meeting up with old friends and just picking up where you last left off.
We also have friends like that. They are people we grew up with. I love one of them very much, because he says none of us look any different from when we were 16 ! Must be these mini skirts I keep wearing !!!!!!!!

I sometimes feel that way especially after a busy weekend!
Went out for petrol and was almost blown over as I filled up!
Just had the gas service and looks like we need a new boiler if they can't get a part for the flu(don't think that's the right spelling?) More expense and disruption aarrrgh!!.
Just tried to put the page that corrie had on hers about JV on mine but failed miserably so not sure what to do!
Thank goodness we're in tonight I feel like I could sleep for a week.

H,
I hope you don't have to have a new boiler, as they're £1K+. We had our new one less than 3 years, and the mother board went which was another expense.
I am so tired today. Never went out this am to badminton. I should have done to release a couple of endorphins and that would have made me feel better.
Instead I washed and hoovered. I had the kids last night, and by the time I had them bathed and given them supper, it was at least 10.00.
Plus they were up with the larks this morning. Bless.
Other half has had to go out so catching up with some e mails from work colleagues as well as messing about on the boards.
I am out tonight dancing, and I'll probably feel loads better for it.
I have had to dis-engage myself from some on going conversations on this board, as it was all getting too much !

Meant to ask before what kind of dancing do you do? Line dancing?
No news on J's little one. When my Mum phoned she said has the baby arrived - as if I'd get a personal message!
The Gas board are giving us a quote for a boiler. I'm hoping that it won't come to that though. We'll probably get another quote as well. 2 other houses in the road have just had new ones so I wonder if it's a ploy to get business.
Speak soon

Lovely news about Jeremy! You picked the right song as well! Wonder when he'll be back and I wonder what his choice will be for first whenever? Better get thinking!
Just off to see a friend for a coffee.

Hi H
Yes, I do line dancing. And no, we're not all nuts and wear stetsons !
I like modern music. I like lots of things in the top 20 and country and western.
I think what I do is called modern or disco line dancing. Tonight we have danced to Michael Jackson, George Michael and (sadly) The Bay City Rollers ! But, it keeps me fit and we have a laugh.
I normally go with a friend from work, and she's like me. We want to dance about any old way, laugh, and then normally we share a bottle of wine in our local pub.
Basically, the calories we lose dancing we then put back on. Sometimes we have a buffet of a packet or crisps and salted peanuts.
There are a few men who go line dancing , but my husband wouldn't be seen dead ! Nor would my friend's.
Some of the girls from badminton go as well, so it's really friendly.
We are all going to Torquay in the Spring. Last year we went to a great hotel in Bournemouth. Food was fabulous.
Try line dancing when you're drunk ! It's hysterical.
Sorry, you must think I am dreadful.
I have been on the R2 boards, because I think we should try to make an effort to be sociable and not let the real saddos put us off.
You know how funny PP and FF are ? Well Red Eric aks Ken is so witty.
Also, we used to have 4* cover with the Gas Board, but I cancelled that 3 years or so ago, and now give my business to a local guy.
