...and welcome to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy : Sol III Edition I am Crescent, one of the army of volunteer meeters and greeters. We not only welocme you to h2g2, but can lend a hand if you have any questions etc. So should we refer to you as Ghost or Jack, or the full, but cumbersome jack_bauers_ghost? Until later....

Crikey, that was quick! I think Jack will do for now, I hadn't really thought about it. I must admit I'm completely new to this sort of thing - I was just wandering around the beeb website, looking for info on the new 'Guide' radio recordings when I stumbled across this place, which seems a lot more involved and complicated than it first looks, but I guess people get used to it?
Anyway, nice to meet you (if you can say that sort of thing here?)- the tour said people were nice and friendly so thank you for your e-mail, Crescent. Any advice for a complete novice?

Hey Jack Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, work got in the way Grrrrr! Who do they think they are
You certainly can say 'nice to meet you', and indeed it makes my day. The best advice is just to wander around and speak to peeps. A good start is the Ask H2G2 pages - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A148907 - just wander through the conversations there and go where the fancy takes you I am not around so much at the weekend, but next week I will be here to help out Well there is work calling again So, until later....
