Good morning FBN
Will be around at some stage - have set the video to tape the Australian GP - no way I'm getting up at 2am to watch it - have switched off the clock radio, so will not know as soon as I wake up who has won!
Grand Prix Breakfasts in the Wood household in the morning - we get up about 7am, I cook eggy bread, bacon with maple syrup and a vat of coffee and 'im in doors and I sit and watch the GP!
The best thing about this years Australian GP is that in April 2003 'im in doors and I had our 'Great Adventure' (5 weeks in Oz and a week in Arizona) and we spent a couple of days in Melbourne - his Aunt actually drove us around part of the circuit; methinks she was pretending to be one M. Schumaker at the time!
Watched the highlights of the qualifiying today, and saw some landmarks and some of the track which I remember.
If you're interested a friend and I run a fantasy F1 League: http://fantasyf1.co.uk/cgi-bin/ff1.cgi?id=jshort&pg=leg is the website - its free to join and there's a bottle for the winner of the season!
I'm off for a hunt around this site to see what else I can find - it's all a tad daunting but exciting! - do you think the FAC will find us in here?
Catch you after the GP! - who do you want to win - my money this season is on Montoya!

Hallo Ruth,
Well, by now you'llknow what a boring race it was once again. I had hoped that Jenson would have been on the podium to-day. But it's all back to normal. I get so mad when people say: "Well, Schum. is the best driver in the world", I don't know how we can judge that. He has the best car, the best team, even the best engine, the best mechanics and a load of luck. I suppose I can't blame Ferrari, but you just wish they weren't always up the front.
Isn't it difficult not to see or hear any news before you watch your video? I even leave the newspaper on the mat for fear there may be a picture on the back page. I remember, once, I was invited to a lunch-party. I set the video, came home around 5 o'clock and thought I'dget my tea ready before I sat and watched. Put the radio on, the news came on and it was that time that Olivier Panis won right out of the blue. I was so mad with myself when I heard that.
I will certainly have a look at that site, Ruth.
Why is it that I imagined you were a schoolgirl? Did you perhaps say you were a student? Don't know where I got that from.
Never mind, "confused" is my middle name.
Yes, I thought Montoya would win this year, he still may, of course, if somebody sabotages those Ferraris. Why has nobody thought of that?
See you soon,
Love
Catharina (FBN)
