Hi Jen
Yes, this is me!What do you think of it all? Not so easy to have a conversation is it? But perhaps I haven't got my act together yet. Walking about with a large L plate stuck to my face.
I can see who is ONLINE, but I don't know where they are.
Hope you are well
Have a few

Evening Fly.
I might have to jump ship and return permanently to R2 boards. I don't think I am getting the hang of it.
Can't teach an old dog new tricks that's my problem.
Just come home from dancing and I am exhausted. Played badminton this morning for a couple of hours, then lounged about this afternoon.
I cooked a huge roast dinner, and fell asleep not long after we'd eaten. I hope my dancing's got rid of some calories.
Off for a shower and drink. I deserve it !!
Yes, it's all very different here. Plus, I cannot see your message, so I apologise now if I've not answered any of your questions.
I am glad that we have made contact.
Jen

Hiya Jen,
I hope you have recovered, you must be very fit.
Yes, I think we'll all gradually return to R2, but it was a nice escape for a while. It is all a bit high-tech, isn't it?
trouble is, every time I look at the CB board now there are lots of people I don't know , talking about things I know nothing about. It seems more of a recipe-exchange thing.
Anyway, I'll go and make a nuisance of myself, I think.
Can't find anybody on h2g2, I suppose it's easy if you know how.
See you soon,
Love

Morning Fly.
I try to keep fit, but have a fondness for alcohol and chocolate !
I like to dance, swim and play badminton. I used to go to Yoga, and I should really go back. To me the best thing was the relaxation at the end. I was so good at that I usually nodded off for a few minutes.
Badminton is a good way to meet new people, especially if you have moved from place to place. Plus, there is a good age group from youngsters to retired people.
Where I play on a Wednesday morning, the standard is very high, and I struggle at times. But, there is a guy of 83 there who is absolutely dynamic. He is a bee keeper and swears by honey, stays it's the cure for all things. I went and bought some from Tesco, but have not noticed any difference yet.
No news, time is ticking by. But have managed to have a shower but still in my dressing gown typing for England !
Speak soon,
Jen
PS Know what you mean about newies all being in the CB. Just muscle in and crack a few jokes. Or, even better, make up some imaginary recipies. Did you ever see a Friends episode where Rachael made an 'English' trifle and because the recipe book pages were stuck together, she included shepherd's pie in the dish. Delicious !

Hi Jen
Only just found your message. I'm trying to persevere because everybody seems to be gravitating towards h2g2 now.
Corrie has been so very helpful, she knows I'm daft and tells me what to do in the sort of language I understand. It's a bit easier because she 's got my e-mail address. This evening she asked if we would like a "help page", and I, for a start would appreciate it.
I don't think I've seen you on anybody else's threads, have you looked to see who's ONLINE? Trouble is, most have taken on new names. I don't know if you can click on to MY friends and pick things up from there.
Worth having a go, I found it difficult to get started.
Speak to you again soon.

Hi Fly.
I don't think that I will permanently leave the R2 message boards.
A very very nice man has sent me an e mail offering help, as he can see I'm struggling. He has offered to help as many newies as want it.
I will try and find his message and post it to you.
Grey and cold here. What a miserable day. Met a friend for lunch and had a bowl of spicy parsnip soup and crusty bread. It was delicious.
Out tonight,
Have I missed your announcement ?
Jen

Hi Jen,
No, you haven't missed my announcement. Tell the truth, I don't really know where I am most of the time. The thing I liked about the R2 boards was that you could see immediately who said what. I haven't really found my way around this yet. I go from "friends" to "Journal" to "
"Conversations" to "Online" and back again, and every now and then I see my name and think: Ooo, who's that?
Maybe one day it will all be clear. Yesterday Corrie asked if it would be helpful if she did a "help" page and I said I would be very grateful, but I don't know if anyone else answered it.
I feel it's a bit sad if the CB is deserted now and I'm going to have another look to see who's about.
Hope you have a lovely week-end.
Love

Yes, I feel a bit sad that the CB is deserted just now. After all, it waas the place we could all drop into and chat to anyone at anytime.
And if there are people there we don't want to chat to, then we just stay quiet.
Have a good weekend. Are you doing anything nice ?
Love

Hallo Jennifer,
Well, the week-end is over again before I noticed you. I'm sure it is only because I don't know what I'm doing. Corrie tries to help but she is so clever, I feel like a complete idiot. At least, at the CB things were easy and you always knew who was there and who you wanted to talk to. Here, I see somebody is ONLINE but I don't know where they are.
I missed all the trouble in the CB yesterday but it seems things haven't got any better, from what I hear.
Why can't they all relax and have some fun, that's what we always wanted, wasn't it?
Maybe it's me.
Hope you hada nice week-end. I had a friend here, it was lovely.
Speak to you again soon,

Morning Fly,
Glad you had a lovely weekend. It goes by very quickly doesn't it. I had the children last night and the place looks as though a bomb has hit.
But we all had a good time but manic this morning getting them ready for school.
Lovely morning here, but rain is forecast.
The CB and R2 boards do seem awash with venom half the time. But I think it is just some people's way of having a good time.
This board is better if you have the time to explore which I don't. I'm not even up together with the Smiley things any more.
Have a good day
Jen
