Watcha Mate!
How are you.
Found you hiding in some kitchen - does this place do recipes as well?
Its all very exciting isn't it?
I was doing some updating on my computer today, and found something I thought my strike a note:
Life is a river.
Go with its current and you may be buffeted on its rocks, dragged down into its whirlpools had have to brave its rapids.
But at the end of the journey you will know all life has to offer.
Cling to its banks and you will be forever safe, but you will never cry with all your tears and never laugh with all your laughter.
Whenever I feel a little bit low, I look at this and smile.
Somewhere I have something else - will have a hunt around and see if I can find it - its entilted 'A Letter from Jesus' and sends shivers down my spine whenever I read it.
It's Zebbeddee time - I've got a book to read and some water to drink (overdone on the wine again, and need to be up to watch the (taped)GP first thing in the morning.
Catch you here or over on R2 at some time
Ruth

Hi Ruth
Glad you found us over here. Fell asleep early last night - was relaxed after the lovely day with my daughter.
Thank you for the poem. I'll type it out and put it on a kitchen cupboard. Pleeeeeeeese send me 'The Letter from Jesus' - can't wait to read that.
See you later.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Corrie

Morning Corrie
here you go - let me know what you think - have a wonderful Sunday.
Dearly Friend:
How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love you and care for you.
I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping you would walk and talk with me also.
As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close your day, and a cool breeze to rest you. Then I waited, but you never came. And yes, it hurt me, but I still love you because I am your friend.
I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and your face...
Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you.
You awakened late this morning and rushed off for the day. My tears were in the rain.
Today you looked so sad, so alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down and hurt me many times, but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves and trees, and breathe it in the color of the flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain streams, and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sun shine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than the oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you could ever have.
We will spend eternity in heaven. I know how hard it is on earth. I really know, because I was there, and I want to help you. My Father wants to help you, too. He's that way, you know.
Just call me, ask me, talk to me. It is your decision... I have chosen you, and because of this I will wait...Because I love you.
Your Friend,
Jesus

Morning BDG
Does the same to me!
Our Vicar put it in the parish magazine ages ago, and I thought it was just so good, I used to carry it around with me on a scrap of paper, scrap of paper now upgraded to a palm thingy, so its in there.
Happy Sunday!

Hi BDG
Am trying to get some housework done, so all things computer are taking a bit of a back burner at the moment; then I've got to get some studying done and upload a ton of information onto the Scout District website which I run, so doing things for myself will take some time!
Will have a go though.

Weird talking about the parish magazine. I have been a part-time secretary/administrator for the local vicar since 1998 until August 2003. Loved most of it, but some was very sad.
My little sister died in June 1999, 9 days after I lost my baby. I found my job hard to deal with, then. I couldn't be a vicar/priest. They are usually very special people.
I made a web site for our parish, though, and that was fun. Think I'll go and check it out. Haven't even looked since August. If you guys don't see me for a few days it's safe to assume the site is neglected and in need of the Corrie touch.
Is the moon up? Silly question - it must be. Have cocooned us in the house and haven't got my specs on 'cos of this bloody awful headcold. Jupiter will be below the moon now (BDG) and the space station will be gone for the night. Mars is less red lately but still glorious. Have to go and drool. Orion will be going for the summer soon - always miss him, although Gemini hangs on for a couple more weeks. (top left of Orion)
I am boring, I know. God has His reasons for me though - just haven't worked them out. Moon will be nearly in Libra so plenty of fun in the next couple of days.
Can you guys believe - I'm drinking a cup of tea? Where's the alcohol?

Hi Corrie
Life can be completely crap at times; my husbands Dad died, very unexpectedly, 3 weeks before we got married; if anybody had said to me then that it would take "'im in doors" 8 years to come to terms with his loss I would have stared at them in utter disbelief; but 8 years it took - grieving is such a long process and everybody has such different experiences, but every day is different and holds new thoughts and although it all might take time I do think we end up as stronger people at the end. A lot more understanding when other people have a whole pile of sh1t thrown at them and I know that I have a lot more faith in the 'man upstairs' when life doesn't go according to plan!
Tell me more about the planets, I live in Surrey and last year we saw Mars brilliantly; would love to know more about what we can see in the night sky - I can make out Orions Belt (and when it is very clear, his sword as well!) and can always see The Plough, but after that I'm stuck - any good websites you can point me to? I always said that if I had children (too old now, but no regrets), I would have the solar system on their ceiling and they would be able to speak French fluently!
Time for another glass of something - point me in the direction of a pub or 2 will you, my friend!
Many thanks
Ruth

Oh, shit, Ruth, you know I'm not that clever, but I think I just sent a note to you on quite the wrong thread. There's no bloody hope for me!! Before h2g2 I thought I knew enough about PC's. Was wrong. Being drunk helps little. You love me though, don't you?
