I saw the orthodontist last week and the dental hygienist yesterday. They're both happy with my teeth. F1749279?thread=6944049.
I was convinced I was going to the Galway to visit the hygienist today, and it was only when I got into work yesterday morning and my boss made a remark about leaving early that I realised the appointment was for Tuesday, not Wednesday. Panic ensued.
I visited friends in Galway (and watched the Rocky Horror Show for the first time), but stayed the night in a hostel very close to the railway station (I didn't need to stay overnight at all, but I like Galway and it was a chance to catch up on friends). There was a guy in the dorm who I hope was talking in his sleep. Every now and again I'd hear this calm American voice saying things like "I'm going to kill you". No stress, no urgency, very calm. Often laced with profanities such as may not be repeated on hootoo.
I didn't sleep well.
Admittedly, that was due more to the airlessness than to the homicidal tourist.
Arose at half six, breakfasted, caught train, and got home in time to shower and change. Usually I'd go early to work when I'm coming in from Dublin or Galway, but I hadn't brought a proper change of clothes this time.

That was probably the place Mal & I stayed in in Galway. Where I met a Jamaican who seemed convinced that Ballymoney is one of the main population centres of Northern Ireland.

The nearest to the station is Galway City Hostel on Frenchville Lane. Kinlay House is also very close, on the other side of Eyre Square. I've stayed in both, on various occasions, and in Sleepzone, a little further away. I was in GCH this time. It's friendly. KH is in a more modern building.
How had the Jamaican heard of Ballymoney?
