Well, the bunting is up, the flags are flying, the town ha a general holiday atmosphere. The square is closed to traffic, and a big stage has been set up for the speeches. Children are walking around with Fianna Fail balloons. My dad's been cleaning far more windows in the town than usual. It's a big deal, apparently.
