I'm at uni in Guildford doing Elec Eng but am currently in France doing my year out smiley - biggrin

I've heard you had a fair amount of snow, we've ad dribs and drabs of the stuff but it doesn't really last more than a day, it just turns into ice which makes the paths lethal and cycling even worse!

My page is written in GML which is the version of HTML that this site uses for the researchers to create their own user pages if they want to.

You can see how my page is done here : <./>testuserpage49849</.> though this may be a little baffling if you haven't tackled HTML before.

You can find out all about GML here : <./>DontPanic-GuideML</.>.

You will need to change your page to GML though, there're a couple of buttons under the edit box when you are updating your space where you can choose to have GML or plain text, you'll need to press the update style button after though.

Unfortunately there isn't a society for Ford Escorts (not that I know of anyway!) I am just the keeper of Ford Escorts and Essex Girls you can find other keepers here : <./>A441596</.>

I no longer even have and Escort though I still say it was one of the nicest cars I have ever driven, they have the best feeling gearboxes going!

This year out is going to be one of the best things I've done, along with my last year out where I met my bloke smiley - biggrin

I should be able to speak french (ish) by the end of it and I will have a good reference from a company that has a household name (Philips). I will also have had the experience of living in France, something I still can't quite believe smiley - smiley

France is treating me v well even if it is a little cold at the moe. Work is starting to work and things are moving along nicely.

I think I managed to put the escort I had through quite a bit *cough* 180 degree skid on the A14 *cough*

I don't know what lectures Andy shares with the Maritime lot. He's doing more of the automotive side but is still doing things like 'thermo-fluids' so he might well be in some of their lectures.
