hi i am a year 11 student at secondary school at the moment. That is 5th grade to everyone before the late 90s. The range of subjects you take now has changed. In year 7 (1st form) I took Science ( all three in one), maths, english, PE, RE, PSE, History, Geography, Home economics, Design technology, Art, Music, a language, and now people take Drama as well. At year 9 you choose 4 optional subjects and the core subjects and drop the rest. You also have a choice of how many sciences you can take - all three, three in two qualificationbs or all in one qualitfication. At my schools 6th form we take three or four subjects
