You know vix I thought this would be az giving me a "hand-bagging". It was the "dontcha" bit.... And thank you for your support ma'am: it is much appreciated. Everything is fine here.

Let things rumble on. The office have the final veto should they choose too close. Why worry?

Ok vix...the definite loopy:

1 I was born in NE England and have lived within a 10km radius all my life. I have worked in several UK locations though mainly in Scotland and the North and Midlands of the UK.

2 In the North Pennines NE England. Small village. Rural and quiet: lots of horses.

3 No I have never even been to N Am. That's why I'm on the net: to learn about N Am.

4 I am a retired Civil Engineer.

5. I've been married for 22yrs with a 13 year old "bear" of a son.

6. Fav colour. Stuck for an answer. Depends on the situation.

7 Chocolate

8 Inequality by social construct: class barriers

9 I never go to pubs because I'm an alcoholic. I drink I die. Not me I care for it's my family.

10 You be as nosey as you want vix.

Your welcome, pleasure to talk with you

Ahh yes North Penns, I mislaid that information temporarily *cough, shuffles feet*...smiley - smiley

Do you ride? Do you own any horses?

Your on the net just to learn about North America? Why? Do you want to live here, or are you studying for pleasure about the flora, fauna or peoples?

Civil engineer....smiley - wow

22 years??? I'm very impressed and awed smiley - smiley any anecdote tips on making a marriage last that you can impart...smiley - zen

Any tips, about looking after a 13 yr old bear? *chuckles* Ours is just 5.

Good answer with fav colour smiley - biggrin

Chocolate - I have to agree smiley - choc

Social constructs - interesting, always room for improvement there.

I am glad that you love your family enough to respect the fragility of your body and mind to alcohol smiley - sadface

...and likewise...the feeling is mutual.

Vix...

1 My memory is bad, especially people and places. I get lost easily in places like railway stations. Too many people and too many avenues.

2 I'm too big too ride, Although I have in the past. I'm 1 decimal 94m and weigh 122kg. You'll need a big geegee for me. No I don't own a horse. A lot of the women in the village do, often more than one beast. Then of course they like them to have foals. S o every summer we have vistiors who rubberneck to see the "little ones". I like them too.

3. I had a tough background. I really try to keep stability. My wife and child come first. So do not be selfish. If the partner wanders, then give 'em the option after the AIDS test...stay or go.

4. I'm curious about N Am culture.

5. Children: just love them. That's enough.

6 Alcohol. My son often looks after me. I have been lucky and I know it. When I pass the homeless folks who live on the street I feel so lucky. It is so easy to become homeless.

Stay Happy....5 yr old kids are wonderful!

5. Yes I agree!

I would never have thought a civil engineer would easily get lost! My memory is vague about somethings...and....errr...some stuff I can retain and other stuff, usually appointments, are sieved out and lost....not something I have enuff memory to worry about..smiley - winkeye

Yeh I love to watch horses play and especially the young ones.

Most people have had a tough background, me too...last pard was abusive in all ways smiley - erm I have recovered and so has my son, n my pard now is wonderful....smiley - biggrin

Lil people are the best, altho sometimes exasperatin...smiley - laugh

I have had an alcoholic parent, and I know the damage it can cause. I enjoy a few drinks, and even overdo it sometimes but not very often. Its a shame that you have suffered so. I admire your strength that has pulled you thro, after all family can only support you so much, the rest depends on your own will smiley - bravesmiley - smiley

I have been thro hell and back, and been sectioned once which I am still angry about if I'm honest...I will talk no more of that right now...you can figure that out...there's not allot that can break my indomintable spirit..smiley - biggrin
