Researcher 556780 Started conversation Nov 28, 2004
Ok, shameless pluggin of picture for sale here...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20158&item=3765282198&rd=1
If you are interested you are most welcome to bid, if not and you know someone who might be, please pass this link on.
This is my first foray into e-bay with just this one picture...others may eventually find their way there.
There seems to be an awful lot of high quality competition on there tho, don't know if I can quite cut in with the rest of the crew.

Hehehe, I thought from the header that this would be a thread about that sandwich that sold on ebay for some vast sum, because it supposedly had the image of the virgin mary on it!
Good luck with your sale Vixie.

Thanks for your support
After a couple days of being online and browsing thro other artists sites, I don't think I shall get what I want for it.
I added two more, to see what response they get.
I may have to consider lowering prices drastically to compete with other much more talented people.
I worked hard on them to get detail in, but I think most people like colour....will have to think about it...I'd feel sore letting them go for $10 or less being as I can't produce like a factory line...but if I want to sell and make a bit of name...perhaps I shall have to, to begin with....

Thanks for showing interest, I'm now resigned to not selling any, and will have to rethink my style and do something wildly flamboyant and different and screamingly colourful....

I don't think you should have to do that, MV. If I had a cheque or credit card, I'd be in for buying at least one! Don't lose hope yet...

A agree. Don't give up. It's way too soon to decide to compromise or change your style.

I'm thinking after I move I might try to sell some stuff on line. On eBay, do you have to collect sales tax? Will you be claiming income from sales on your taxes? It's issues like these which make me hesitant to try to sell things.

Congrats on your new purchase 2legs!
Hellie, you can choose for your customers not to pay tax I would imagine if the sales are small they are not going to come after you - the tax people that is - with guns, fireworks and paper blazing.
I really don't think my artwork is going to sell, but that's okay...I can try something else
Wotcha gonna sell, Hellie?

Well, my phone I bought off EBay arrives this morning.
And NOw I'm wondering what on earth I should do:
It was* advertised as the Nokia 9210I, which was the phone I'm after.
get it; it looks identical* to the nokia 9210I (I've my broken one still), neither have any markings on them, any identifying features.
all the manuals with the one I just bought, and the CD rom say '9210I' But it isn't a 9210I, its the 9210; the harddrive on it is the size of the nokia 9210 hardrive, and not of the larger harddrive of the 9210I has this guy made a genuine mistake? did he believe it was* a 9210I?
Has he tried to rip me off; getting manauals for 9210I etc, and putting them with the cheaper* 9210?
I've not a clue what I should do....

MV, I have some bracelets I made. In MN I've sold them at a pagan book store near me. Tried to anyway. I don't know where I'd sell them in CA after I move. I'd like to keep making them though. Mostly cause I still have several hundred $$ worth of beads.
2legs. I'd report the problem to eBay and see what they say. I've never used () eBay myself but i've heard that they are very helpful.

Yeh think I'll have to Email EBay see what they say, big problem is I'm off tomorrow for a week, well till late thurs, so I don't think I'll be worth mailing them now in the few minutes I've spare whilst packing as I won't be able to pick up any reply till Friday

The bracelets I make are pretty girly. So they'd be suitable for crossdressers perhaps.
Have a good trip!

I'm not a cross dresser... though It is somwhat tempting to become one Do you sell them on EBay then? I might have to invest in some, I coudl always give them to friends if they didn't really 'become me'
