ARGH! What a run of bad luck...

Well couple of weeks ago (12th Jan) I sprained my ankle at work, it just kinda flopped and folded underneath me.
It was still sore but bearable, so I was doing normal stuff and included in normal stuff was the carrying of laundry on Friday afternoon just gone...when FLOP...it folded underneath me again.
This time was unbearable and a neighbor helped me back to the apartment and carried my laundry back in...which was still in it's unwashed smelly state...much to my tremendous embarrassment - at least my knickers were tucked under towels etc ...and said neighbors daughter went and got G-force who was out playing.
G-force and I had a lovely trip in the ambulance to ED where we were there for several hours - just because your an employee it doesn't mean to say you get hurried thro faster
It's not broken, just a rather bad sprain - I am sporting the latest in designer ankle braces right now - which is far easier than using crutches..at least I can hobble a bit without them!
Then, of course Geo's car broke down, the engine has seized and it is a write off. Unfortunately for us it couldn't be at a worst time.
My surgery is scheduled for Feb, it's gotten bigger and of course so has the other one, which is making me feel quite anxious, sick, depressed and all those crappy things which come with foreign bodies growing where they shouldn't. Only now, I've been told that they might be adhering to my cesarean scars which would mean open surgery not just laparascopically.

Oof! Cesaerean adhesions can cause all sorts of nasty bother. Surgical adhesions in general, in fact.
Good luck with both things.

Don't know what to say, Vix. Except my thoughts are with you at this difficult time, as the vicar might say...you do have all of us Hootoo friends to count on, at least.
Is there something about the USA that causes ankles to get themselves sprained - first JEllen, now you?
There'll come a time when all these troubles are behind you. Try holding on to that.
Regards, and good luck

Damn, woman, you can't seem to catch a break.
I think you replied to an email from me a couple weeks ago, but it wound up in my spam folder for some reason, and I wasn't able to read it. I hope you're feeling OK now? And I hope you've got some halfway decent drugs for that ankle?
Hang in there.

Oh, poor you!
I suppose the only possible silver linings to this nasty cloud might be:
When you're having the op, you are pretty well obliged to do nothing but lie around in bed after for a while, which will rest the ankle.
Adhesions are nasty, wicked, painful swines, & squeaking from experience, you will feel so much better once all the mess is sorted out.
As to the car...perfect timing eh?

I can certainly empathize with the sprained ankle part. I am still limping around.
Good luck honey with the surgery.
