Well, totally resigned now, to having to wait for beaur, buero...bureaucratic...(that is such a nightmare word to spell) wheels to grind slowly before I get my card.
Tried everything, the aide to the congressman called today and told me that INS rejected her letter/fax to them and it won't be processed till they are good n' ready. British Consular told me it wasn't a Consular issue..so no luck there.
As it happens 90 days is up on the 10th Nov...shall get an info pass then and hopefully get an extension on my card. I would have been out of work for 2 weeks by then (card is due 30th Oct), I *might* be able to get leave for that rather than just taken off the payroll. We shall see.
There is a very minute chance the card may still arrive, altho by now INS officials are prolly pissed at me for creating so much fuss and have shuffled it back under the pile
Other news since I have been away, well the G-force is intelligent it seems in his academic studies and is now in the top class. He got 100% on his math test in the Summer *pride* He has been a bit of an ass with his peers tho, the last two days he has been fighting with some other boys in his class...*grr* Hopefully today he is good. He wants to join Little League Baseball, I've told him he has to behave before I sign him up for that, can't have him going round with a bat when he can't keep his fists to himself...lil
The Geo is well and happiest on the couch attached to the PS2 when he isn't working. *chuckles*
Aside from the card issues, I am well and happy and liking my new job and especially the wage packet - oh yeh! I haven't touched the Chin pic for a while..perhaps next week when I go back to part time after my training has fin
I have lots of ideas for hidden pictures in my artwork...and want to get cracking on them, when I get chance.

I just remembered other stuff to add, went bowling last Saturday and had a ball..*tee hee* pun intended..
The first time I ever went bowling, altho I could quite forcefully make the ball enter the gutter with gusto, I failed spectacularily to even get one measly pin down.
This time I played like a rock star with my new glasses on..
I even won a game. I didn't even have to have any barriers up either..heee!

Glad you like your new glasses
I used to go bowling once every blue moon.
It always gave me the giggles ( *hic*or did I have them first?)
I was a very inconsistent bowler. Strikes to gutter balls
Hidden pictures in art work sounds really fun and a lot of work I have been thinking about a similar techinique in all black and white while planning projects in my head to do when I finally get my art area back in a few months.

Hey Vix!
Sorry to hear you're still being jerked around with the INS and your card. Bureaucrats are b******s!! I'm glad you're liking your new job and that you're happy with the wages, though!
I'm not surprised to hear how intelligent the little is, it would certainly take a fair amount of smarts to come up with all of those shenanigans! Hopefully he can behave well enough to join the Little League team, and you won't have to worry about his taking the bat to someone's skull or kneecaps!

with the card, MV! It must be so infuriating for you...
Good news about G Force - intelligent kids often has issues with their peers, especially if they are designated "nerds" for being clever. With any luck, in years to come, he'll be using devastating wit rather than actually scrapping in the playground.

And she's back on the 7th just like she said!
That continues to suck about your INS card and what buttheads they're being about it. ers! I hope you can get that extention or work something out if the card doesn't come soon.
No it's not surprising that G is bright. Of course he is. Little League could help him channel some of his energy and develop some self discipline, hmm?

Still no card? Its very frustrating hearing of your problems in that area, you would have thought they could manage some paperwork by now.

Hiya Vix, I'm still thinking of you, and hoping and praying that your card comes soon and with as little additional hassle as possible. You neither need nor deserve all of this frustration, though I have to admit, I admire your tenacity, and Geo's steadfast support!
Hope to hear good news about your card VERY soon!
