I haven't. I've only had regular Guiness, and only like it in Black Velvet. Chocolate Guiness sounds a bit
How's the Mac doing? Tried again this afternoon to get ours online, to no avail...

My HP is only 2 years old as well! And no, Jabs, it's not still under warranty.
I've got an iMac like Jabberwock's--same colour, too, but not enough memory on it and I can't connect it to wireless Internettage.

The mac is going well That's annoying when you can't get a machine online
I didn't like the choc guinness either, altho it might be nicer with a bit of fizzy vimto - but can't that around here either! Still waiting for the keyboard to dry out...

I wonder if either of you are trying to get a dial-up machine onto Broadband? I don't know, but I doubt if that can ever work. Instead you need broadband goodies inside as well as outside the machine. Just a thought. Seasonal greetings,

That's possible. Had no idea Mac worked either for dial-up or broadband. Do people really still use dial-up? I know for a fact that this Mac worked with dial-up at one time, so that might be the issue.

My Mac works fine with broadband, but not wireless.

Do you have a wireless receiver in/on the machine Snails? Alternatively, have you configured the machine for your particular broadband modem? ISP would/should help you on the latter.

I've tried 2 different wireless options for our house, to no avail. Our primary tie to the broad-band is a hub in the basement. And the heating duct-work is all in the way.

Psychocandy,
In the UK a lot of people still use Dial Up but it is being phased out slowly. So many people are only just getting the Internet that this is often the first option, especially if they don't use their computers very much.
<<>> Honest, a lot of people don't. Some only use it once a week!!! If I have a day away from mine I get withdrawal symptoms

Finally the original keyboard is dry and is now working *yays* The keys are so low and smoove...
Computers are just like cars in my opine, something always goes wrong when you most need it - or it just never runs right.
We still, well Geo still has some glitches to sort out, I am not allowed to mess with 'things that plug in' due to my unusual polarized magmanic-netic field that seems to make electronic appliances manifest symptoms of not working quite right, or not working at all, or doing something not natural to said appliance.

My dad was like that. Watches wouldn't work on him and I affect the radio etc. Perhaps that is why I am having glitches with new printer too. Possibly because I am tired and feeling scratchy and can't concentrate.
Glad you got the keyboard working again. My book says keeps drinks etc. away from computers etc. and it is advice I have always followed since spilling coffee in one of those things we used to have called typewriters
with your glitches.

I've been keeping food and drinks away from the "new" computer since drowning the keyboard for the old one. The 5 and "F" keys never worked correctly after that. K usually has water or soda with him at the computer, but he's not as big a klutz as I am.
