This is a work in progress, but I have just recently finished the design and I wanted to show it off.
I have yet to colour it in, I may not get chance to do that this week, depends....
If at first the link doesn't load, or show you the pic, you could pop back later - it might work then. Sometimes if more than one person goes to the site at the same time, the server gets a bit offended and can't seem to cope.

I just hope I don't eff it up with colour..

Thanks Stealth
If your wondering why one of your comments isn't on there no more, I took a few pictures down and re-touched them up and put them back, unfortunately I didn't save the comments.
It doesn't allow you to replace the photo and keep the text info. Which is stupid, you have to delete the whole thing and start again.

Oh that is too bad about the text not staying.
Very interesting piece.
Was there a purpose for these?
Ceremonial - decrative - history keeping?
I especially like the asymetrical part
Does that relate to an afterlife in some way?

I'm not sure what you mean Abbi, it is entirely my own design based on some Inca stuff that I have looked at.
There is no such thing as a Chinchilla God and I purely made it up, at least I think there is no such thing - there might have been...
I just created the pic because..erm...I wanted to see if I could make an Inca like design.
I don't know why they did their pics asymmetrical, I just noticed that they appeared symmetrical but were not, and they seem to like playfully putting faces here and there.
I have also taken an interest in things that are more than they seem such as ambigrams for example and thought that might be fun to create and include in this pic.

Sorry for confusion. I do not believe in a Chin God *no bowing*
The Inca like design - I wondered why they are asymetrical, I am pretty sure I learned that at one time.
I love your idea of making ones yourself in that style
It also might look very cool with paper in sheer colors layered over it as if it were ancient.
I do not know the term though....
Gives me an idea for matting artwork also.
Geesh that may only make sense to me since I am picturing it in my head! If so, nevermind
It's intended as a compliment

I just plain like it! Nice light-hearted piece of work.

Cool, MV! Does the central picture turn into another picture when it's upsidedown or is it the litttle ones on the sides? Maybe I'll look at it again. I can't wait to see it finished!

I like it. Nothing more I can really say, except that you continue to impress me with your talents, good lady.

Nah worries Abbi , I think I know what you mean with the layers I was thinking myself - of trying to colour it so that it looks raised - so that they would look carved.
I'm not really good with colours so it could turn out anyhow.
Thanks for looking Aga, I'm glad you found it fun
Hellie, thanks also the central pic doesn't turn into anything upside down, I was mainly concentrating on the other four bits, I wish I'd have thought of that tho...mainly I start something and then sort of play it by ear as I go along. When I started doing the face below, someone had sent me an e-mail with a photo of an Inca pyramid and I thought it might be cool to somehow add that...and well..I did
The lil ones on the sides - a man on the left and woman on the right and when tipped upside down, vice versa *ahem* the lady has boobs..and there is a sorta other bit too for the guy..
Rev - thank you for your compliment

Still looking at it, turning my head round literally & figuratively. It would be nice to collaborate on some sort of 3D aspect to this idea.....I've got some great papiér maché sort of eggbox thingys, you could paint the designs onto them direct & suspend it so that it could be viewed either way & then do other stuff inside....
*pootles away ruminating*

Nice artwork, mv, you have a rare talent.
I've nearly completed the maze around the border - I keep getting stuck about half-way along the bottom side

Thank you Icy
I didn't think to finish the mazes off, that's most likely why you can't complete it *ahem* Some of the lines go directly across the borders Shall finish that off for the one in colour, if it turns out okay.
Did anyone notice my 'chalice' symbols?

Thanks, Bcat
I'm thinking that I like doing stuff that has hidden fun stuff in it. I may do some more.
I guess the thing is not to say anything, and let others work it out - I just got a wee bit excited on this one, because this was new to me

It adds to a piece doesn't it
Like with some books each time you read them you realise something you hadn't the last time you read it
