Have you heard about that feista skankyrich was talking about? If so do you know where I can find some information on it? I've drawn a complete blank. I've asked my grandmother, she's not heard of it but she is from the south and since skankyrick says it's a northern celebration that won't be surprising.

Actually, it's quite common for a particular saint to be celebrated in more than one town. [Many parents used to name their children after the saint being honoured on the day of the child's birth - some still do; often with comical results.]

Looks like an excellent site. There's a lot of info to be found if you use the drop-down menus. (It reminded me of another highly entertaining festival (well worth including in your entry), the one that portrays & celebrates the ousting of the Moors from Spain.)
