Cal - interim high priest of the Church of the Holy Tail

.....I'm not seeming difficult, sorry really paraniod about it now

Have you heard about that feista skankyrich was talking about? If so do you know where I can find some information on it? I've drawn a complete blank. I've asked my grandmother, she's not heard of it but she is from the south and since skankyrick says it's a northern celebration that won't be surprising.

Hi Cal!

Actually, it's quite common for a particular saint to be celebrated in more than one town. [Many parents used to name their children after the saint being honoured on the day of the child's birth - some still do; often with comical results.]

Here's some more info on San Antón and a few others: http://www.gospain.org/fiestas/winter/sananton.htm

Looks like an excellent site. There's a lot of info to be found if you use the drop-down menus. (It reminded me of another highly entertaining festival (well worth including in your entry), the one that portrays & celebrates the ousting of the Moors from Spain.)
