I haven't yet said anything much about the floods affecting various bits of Australia. There's enough in the media for anyone who wants to follow the slow-motion disaster as it unfolds. That being said, there's something about this article that caught and held my attention.

It seems the ABC News Online site ( http://www.abc.net.au/news/ ) is being kept online by string and tennis balls in a temporary office. My inner geek is fascinated by this.
Now I know the background, I am amazed at the quality of the site over the last few weeks. It's all been done under trying circumstances. Good luck to them.

Improvisation - not that I've seen their output to judge the quality - but if anyone challenges them to "think outside of the box" in the future . .
