Every where I take the midget, now four years old, he goes up to strangers and ask them their name, repeats it back, gives them his name when they ask him what his name is and usually will ask them where they were. When leaving he will say goodbye and repeat their name.
Recently I bought him a icee and soda mix at a local Speedway Station. He took the drink up to the counter and put the drink on the counter. Even though the counter is higher than him he jumps up and pulls himself up on the counter. He asked the clerk if he could have a credit card. She told him she couldn't give him a credit card. He pointed to the scratch off lottery tickets under the glass and asked for one of them. She told him she can't give him one of those, he must be eighteen to get one of those. She asked him if he was eighteen. He raised up both hands showing all his fingers and claimed he was thirty-five. She exclaimed,"Thirty-five! Are you sure your thirty-five?" He replied,"Yes." He had all the clerks and customers in stitches. When I told his mother she suggested we may have named him correctly by calling him, midget.
He has been calling me Be-bop for about a year now and the people who know him are starting to call me Be-bop. Every now and then he may call me grandpa but it is so rare. His mother once called me dad in front of him and he asked her if I was her dad too. I am going to have to ask his mom what she plans on telling him when the time comes he may inquire about his bio-dad. The man is serving life for murder and the earliest he can get out will be after the midget turns eighteen.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
