Well how could I possibly argue with such faultless logic? smiley - winkeye

So, I'm curious, did you just type "evil" into the search box and read everything it came up with?

Well, nice to make your acquaintance anyway. It's always nice to meet a fellow malevolent megalomaniac.

Sorry, I don't really use this place as a conversation forum so I tend to post and then log off and it usually takes me a day or so to reply. As it happens I was quite well last night.

I have to ask, how do you know I'm not just a show off?

Evil?

Post 9

Im guessing, lol

After all I could be evil and a show off as well. The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive after all. I could be taking over the world meerly to impress girls. That's pretty evil when you think about it.

Well, im impressed, lol.

You should probably wait 'til a guy actually takes over the world before being impressed. There's a lot of unscrupulous guys out there who might "talk the talk but don't walk the walk." smiley - winkeye

Anyway, Happy New Year.

Post 13

Horatio_Caine: {Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII}

Well, thats unlikely. I am going to take over the world, no one else, lol

Happy New Year!

Last year... it's a bit hard to sum up in a couple of short lines. Basically I'm slowly driving myself mad trying to finish of my PhD and get on with the next part of my life. But then again I'm healthy and generally happy so I suppose I shouldn't complain. Things could be a lot worse.

And also on the plus side I think I may have broken a personal record by replying to a message in under and hour (let's face it anything less than a full calendar year is not bad for me).

Tell me to get stuffed if I'm being nosy, but why so difficult?

Crikey, I was hoping it'd be something like a really hard calculus assignment or a long and dull essay on Thomas Hardy. I wish I could tell you the answer, but depression is a somewhat more difficult problem to solve.

I'm sure someone once said that no genuinely intelligent person could ever be truly happy. I think it might have been Oscar Wilde, but then again I tend to attribute anything vaguely witty to him when I don't know any better.

The nearest thing I can find is "To be stupid, selfish, and have good health are three requirements for happiness, though if stupidity is lacking, all is lost," which was Gustave Flaubert (1821 - 1880). Ignorance is indeed bliss.
