Anyone know of any serious literary criticism of DNA and Hitchhiker's Guide? I'm doing my senior thesis on it (comedic sci fi as the most meaningful social criticism in contemporary literature), and critical stuff about Adams is pretty much non existant. Any pointers would be welcome.
Thanks!

Probably too late now, but a friend of mine mentioned something about Hitchikers as a kind of environmentalist satire before its time - destruction of habitat for road building, forest burning to control inflation, animals who want to be eaten etc. Not sure whether this was a pet theory or something that has been published....

It's not quite too late (I'm working on revising my draft at this point) - and I actually do touch on this subject a little bit, but with reference to a criticism of postmodern society.
, though.
