Hello Yael
You've requested my help a while ago but I haven't replied because I've been busy, but I would like to help
Here are some things that sprang to my mind while I was reading the entry:
- Sometimes the bus number is preceded by a 0, and then it might mean that it's not the same route as without the 0. For example, line 95 goes from Holon to Rishon-LeTzion (south) but line 095 goes from Holon to Tel-Hashomer (north).
- Many service taxis travel a route which is exactly the same as an Egged or Dan bus, only they cost less.
- The price for a bus trip inside the same city is 5.40 only in Jerusalem because it's a big city. In the rest of the cities (at least the ones around Holon, including Tel-Aviv) it's 5.20
- The alef in the bus number means "express". So busses with alef usually have similar routes to the ones without the alef, only they skip some stations or drive around a certain area.
- The long distance trains are more expansive than the busses for the same distances (for example, the train from Tel-Aviv to Be'er-Sheva costs 9 shekels more than the bus).
I hope I can be helpful.
You've written a great entry
Gil

I forgot to do the "notification of new conversations" bit, so I just saw your post now, when I was updating some things. I'll add that information later; the Aleph part doesn't seem right, though, since at least in Jerusalem it signifies a different route, not just skipping some stops. I'll check about that.
What I really need is some info about buses in Tel Aviv and Haifa, like what I wrote about buses in Jerusalem. If you can add anything - line numbers, tips, stuff like that - I'll be much obliged (and you'll get credited as a writer).

Hi Yael
I'm sorry but I haven't got much experience regarding bus lines inside Tel-Aviv. I don't think we should post anything about bus lines regarding Holon, it isn't very usefull information.
However, you can mention line 480 from the Arlozorov train station in Tel-Aviv and line 405 from the central station in Tel-Aviv, both going to the central station in Jerusalem.
I'll ask my girlfriend, maybe she knows something about the lines in Haifa.
Don't worry about the credit, you wrote so much I don't feel like I deserve any for such a small contribution.
Good entry!
Gil
