Staffordshire Yeomanry

Dear Peter,

I have just done a search for the Staffordshire Yeomanry, I was interested to see that you were able to furnish Lebieswood with quite a lot of detail on their Father's unit.

My late uncle, Dennis Winnett, was with the Staffordshire Yeomanry both in North Africa and Normandy. I realise that in order to research an individuals history you need at least some basic information, (unit name and serial number for example), neverthless, I wonder if you could suggest a starting point for a search if I can get some more specifics?

One thing that does make Uncle Den stand out from the crowd is the fact that he won the Military Medal rescuing an officer from a brewing up tank.

Would you know whether there is a general list of MM winners?

Any advice you can offer will be most appreciated.

Yours Sincerely, Paul Fagan.

Best wishes,
