Dear Peter
I wonder if you are able to help me with a query I have.
My Father was in the Royal Signals and was posted to the BEF on 14 May 1940 and returned to the UK on 24 June. Is there any source of information which might help me to discover what unit he might have been with while he was in France? Both before and after his time with the BEF he was a Lieutenant with the 1st Operators Training Battalion at Catterick. Thank you very much for your help.
With best wishes

Dear Tamarclaire
Enquire here http://www.mod.uk/contacts/army_records.htm for your father's service record. Scroll down to Section 2.
Good luck with your search,
Peter

Dear Peter
Thank you very much for your reply.
Sorry, I did not explain myself very well. I already have my father's service record but the only details it gives concerning Dad's time with the BEF are the dates. I was wondering if it was possible to work out which unit in the RCS Dad might have been with in France from those dates ie 14 May - 24 June
With thanks
Tamarclaire
